The mission of Feaster Charter School's comprehensive school counseling program is to support the whole child by providing equitable access to data-driven and evidence-based social-emotional, academic, and career programming for long-lasting results. Through direct services, advocacy, and collaboration with key educational partners, school counselors strive to create an environment of safety, respect, responsibility, and academic excellence to foster resilient learners.

The vision for Feaster Charter School’s comprehensive school counseling program is to promote and enhance the academic, social/emotional, behavioral, and mental health outcomes of all students. We envision a future where all students are equipped with the academic and personal/social skills needed to reach their maximum potential in a diverse society for career and lifelong success.
Counseling Services:
Students may be referred by a teacher, staff member, parent, or self-referred. If it is an urgent request, possible abuse, neglect, threat to self or others, the student will be seen the same day. The counselors may also be reached by phone: 619-422-8397 or if this is not an emergency via email.

Groups & Individual Counseling:

Teacher and students take a Social Emotional Screener through Satchel Pulse based on the CASEL Core Competencies

Students are Tiered based on results and Counselors invite students to participate in a small group or individual counseling if placed in Tier II or Tier III. Parent/Guardian consent is required for small group and individual counseling.
